What you will do

You will be part of the Analytics Environment and Currency Portfolio—a dynamic team working to respond to evolving business needs to support the business functions of the Bank’s currency and economic departments. The Analytics Environment and Currency Portfolio is exploring new data and analytics technologies (i.e., computing, Business Intelligence, COTS applications) to empower the next generation of analysis and insight. You will be present as we enhance our current data and analytic infrastructure to meet the demands of a modern data-centric central bank.

In this position you are part of a dedicated and innovative team that maintains, integrates, and builds solutions key to our internal and external stakeholders. Your contribution is crucial as we improve and transform services to provide a more robust working environment for Bank staff and our partners. You will have the opportunity to work with an organization whose mandate is to foster a stable and efficient financial system for all Canadians, and you will have exposure to practical application of technologies (i.e., Tableau, Python, SQL, Azure).

  • You communicate in a clear and concise manner, regardless of medium (text, voice and in-person).
  • You are a rational and critical thinker, with an inclination for evidence-based decision making.

Your education and experience

You must be enrolled in a university or college program in a field related to computer science.

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English or French essential
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Reliability or Secret
  • You will work remotely from any location within Canada while the Bank operates under mandatory telework. Flexibility for remote work for the duration of the term may be granted.
  • There will be no relocation assistance provided
