Each year, usually between December and the first couple of weeks in January, foreign-based promoters and overseas patrons travel to Jamaica to party and reunite with family, friends and their beloved homeland.

Among them are promoters Lady Rose and Pinky Spoon, who had their ‘Sportswear meets Beachwear’ event on South Avenue in Half-Way Tree on the weekend. It wasn’t the usual ‘boat ride’ experience as in former years; however, the intimate ambience and the musical juggling made the ladies jiggle, gyrate and lose themselves in the music.
