Phreewhil gives dancehall the ‘treatment’ | Entertainment

Dancehall artiste Phreewhil is making moves with his latest single, Treatment.

“Right now the reception to the song is giving me an ‘upful’ feeling. Jamaicans are pleased with my sound and that is a win, and a lot of elders are commenting about the lyrical style. That interest is going to lead to more traction for my career, so is a good feeling, big up father G; Father God real,” he said.

Treatment was produced by Schemeyaad Records, which is owned by Phreewhil, and was released in December 2021.

“There are no arrangements for a video, but the great response to the official on YouTube is a good look,” he said.

Phreewhil, whose given name is Stephaun Alando Walters, said he was given his first name by his older brother, who was a fan of a well-known US basketball player.

“My mom told me that story, but I am going to be a star in my own right some day,” he said.
