Ginjah blasts governments for not helping the poor | Entertainment

Reggae artiste Ginjah’s single, Nah Work, leads out the new ‘Unity’ rhythm project, produced by Music House Entertainment.

The single is an ardent appeal to the public to democratically oust the present political administrations, which Ginjah believes is doing nothing to alleviate the suffering of the poor as they wrestle with the twin tigers of unemployment and high food prices.

“I wrote this song from a sincere place. The current state of humanity across the globe is proof that the traditional management of the people is not working: [it’s just] political corruption, rising food prices, high crime, global genocidal conspiracies, global warming, racism and poverty,” Ginjah said. The single was released on January 21. Now based in the US state of California, Ginjah believes that the world is uniquely poised to hear this message.

“The entire situation with the pandemic has forced people to speak out about things, and I am leading the charge because I sing with soul and truth,” he said. Producer Markland Raymond has high hopes for the entire project, especially Ginjah’s song.

“I expect the song to do well. Ginjah, the reggae soul man, is a good artiste and it’s an honour to work with him,” Raymond said.
