It must be full steam ahead if the COVID-19 refashioned Crop Over 2022 is to be successful.

The Government needs to roll out a comprehensive marketing strategy to grab the attention of international masqueraders for whom other countries are vying.

This is the view of promoter and veteran bandleader Chetwin Stewart who said he was pleased about the return of the annual celebrations.

The festival’s official opening usually takes place during the month of June, but prior to that there are a number of Crop Over- related events including performances.

Stewart said: “Foreday is a lot easier but Grand Kadooment, it may be nearly impossible. So we have to find out what will take place. So we need to move full steam ahead. We need to have a marketing plan and get it out there so international masqueraders can plan.
