About the role:

Reporting to the Director, Integrated Supply Chain Business Systems & Analytics, as the Senior Business Analyst, Supply Chain will participate in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of Supply Chain business system updates and enhancements, with primary focus on SAP IBP and ECC Production Planning and Warehouse Management.

In this role, you will identify, develop, and execute tasks as part of projects and releases of moderate to significant complexity, and contribute to the vision and product ownership for these critical technology tools and their utilization. These tasks include, but are not limited to, requirements (use case) gathering, analysis, input to project plan and work schedule creation and management, project and release coordination, test case creation, user acceptance testing, and technology roadmap maintenance. You will act as an integrator, facilitator and technical specialist providing analytical capabilities to projects with variable complexity including large scale, transformational initiatives with widespread organizational reach. You will work in partnership with Planning and Supply Chain teams and other departments to bring a deep understanding of business analysis to help stakeholders close the gap between complex, long-term business outcomes and their translation into the detailed functions and features that project solutions need to satisfy, for new and existing systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translate supply chain operational process requirements into technology requirements, and strategize optimal business process and technology support requirements: be a bridge between supply chain warehouse and planning operations, and Information Technology and System support teams.
  • Stakeholder engagement, business analysis, and voice of the customer communication management: work closely with stakeholders to understand business context and priorities. Support business units in defining the business cases required for project approval.
  • Functional business analysis: document, analyze and support design enhancements of business process, information technology, resource structures, operations, and the complex relationships between them.
  • Backlog management and need prioritization support: break down complex or ambiguous problems into concrete deliverables and simple solutions and develop scope and define backlog items and support prioritization that guide the agile software development team.
  • Product ownership: contribute to the strategic vision and product roadmap for the integrated supply chain product (SAP IBP and ECC Production Planning and Warehouse Management).
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Business Administration/Science with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business or Systems Analyst, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and Manufacturing
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP or equivalent ERP and warehouse management technology
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation in good standing with the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) is an asset
  • Experience with CRM tools an asset
  • Other related business or IT experience would be an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered

Required skills:

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and material flow in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of the project and program management lifecycle including prevalently used methods, processes and practices (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Kanban, Scrum)
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF) designation and IT Service Management (ITIL) is advantageous
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with the BABOK – Business Analysis Body of Knowledge
  • Ability to leverage different techniques to elicit and document requirements into plain language
  • Ability to negotiate and balance conflicting priorities/needs and achieve successful outcomes
  • Adept at analyzing and anticipating implications of system changes on work processes and procedures
  • Ability to articulate requirements to IT subject matter experts
  • Capable of supporting change management efforts and assist people with adapting to change
  • Able to lead small sized projects
  • Strong communication skills in English
