Job description: Overview
Jamii is currently seeking a Project Manager. Reporting directly to and working in tandem with the Executive and Artistic Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of producing Jamii’s programming.

Major Responsibilities:
· Planning, coordination, logistic and production of Jamii’s projects, events and workshops;
· Administrative management, including but not limited to contracts; bookkeeping (including organizing receipts, invoices, payments and payroll); participating (and minute recording) of board meetings;
· Support public and private fundraising activities: including grant writing to arts councils and foundations, securing sponsorships, managing individual donations campaigns (…);
· Be a steward of Jamii’s partnerships with local residential buildings, arts institutions, community partners (such as local schools, BIA, neighbourhood association) (…);
· Manage marketing and promotional activities, including social platforms, website, projects’ promotion (…);
· Audience development, community outreach and engagement of community members in programming with the goal of keeping on extending Jamii’s reach within the community;
· Recruit, train and manage volunteers;
· Manage bingo activities (volunteer recruitment and management; bookkeeping and reporting).
The responsibilities listed above only address key duties of this position: additional related tasks may be assigned at the discretion of the Executive and Artistic Director.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. Flexible working hours are provided. There will be requirements to work flextime with evening and weekend work, as the position demands.

Requirements: – Project Manager is believes in the benefits of bringing arts to public spaces and understands the value of working with community partners. Knowledge of Toronto’s/Canada’s theatre scene and a passion for culture and community.
– 5+ Years experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or in community-engaged field and/or artistic industry, with demonstrated management responsibilities & skills.
– Graduate degree(s) in an arts or business related discipline.
– Knowledge of fundraising softwares and fundraising experience.
– Business minded. You excel in think tank environments, you are a creative problem solver and you have affinity with strategic planning.
– Project Manager has experience in collaboration, partnership, fundraising (including grant writing, sponsorship, donations), budget management, community outreach and marketing, and event production.
– Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines and handle concurrent projects, with a strong track record of fulfilling commitments.
– Project Manager is enthusiastic, energetic, creative and likes to interact with people.
– Project Manager is able to multi-task, and carries a wide spectrum of responsibilities. When producing events, Project Manager is able to work long hours and is resourceful. Project Manager can demonstrate skills in time management, likes to work in a team environment and is self-motivated.
– Project Manager has perfect English writing skills.
– Jamii’s programming is fully inclusive. Project Manager needs to have the ability of communicating with people of all ages, all abilities, all socio-economic status, and all cultural backgrounds.

Additional Info: Familiarity with and proximity to the St Lawrence Neighbourhood is an asset.
Jamii’s long-term intent is to extend this position into full time permanent position.

Expected salary: $45000 – 50000 per year
