Job description: The Indiana University Office of University Information Technology Services is seeking an Instructional Technology Consultant for its Richmond, Indiana campus.

The position provides professional client support through informed consulting practice, workshop facilitation, and project management. Further, the incumbent will serve as an expert resource on a range of current and emerging instructional technologies. This includes learning management systems, active learning classrooms (and supporting technologies), electronic collaboration and social networking, e-Portfolios, instructional use of multimedia, electronic conferencing, and
online instruction. Additionally, the individual will collaborate in larger initiatives and working groups to support the mission of the IU East Center for Faculty Development. The emphasis for all activities is on evidence-based best practice in the use of instructional technology.

Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field 2 years of training in a higher education context we well as 2 years of experience in the following: instructional development; instructional technology consulting; developing online instructional content using presentation software (Microsoft Office), multimedia design and production software (Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Captivate), and Web publishing tools (html scripting, Dreamweaver, and JavaScript); consulting and training higher educational faculty and staff in a group, presentation, or workshop setting on the use of: Learning Management Systems; instructional technologies; eLearning strategies; instructional design, development, and delivery; designing traditional classroom, blended, and e-learning space at a higher education institution; designing, implementing, and managing faculty development projects at a higher education institution; and evaluating instructional
effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative methods and making recommended changes.
