What’s new
DevOps is about transforming the functional work experience between development and operations teams by breaking down silos between two traditionally separate roles. We are currently seeking candidates for our multi-disciplinary team within the Infrastructure and Operations (ITS I&O) portfolio. The focus for this role is IT Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and the fundamental disciplines of networking and security.

You will work alongside other developers, from a wide variety of IT infrastructure backgrounds, in transforming the Bank’s network and security IT infrastructure into self-service and autonomously available products for our customers by exploiting the use of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Importantly, you’ll be putting yourself in “in the shoes of our customers”, crafting use cases / storyboards, continuing our work towards the most-simple-and-viable-process(es), and focusing on delivering an awesome end user experience!
What you need to succeed
You are a self-starter with the ability to quickly grasp the essence of complex issues. As an effective communicator, you clearly convey key points in a style appropriate to a variety of audiences.
You are bright, self-motivated, and independent, requiring little supervision. You will actively contribute in creating positive team dynamics by engaging in productive and respectful conversations, helping team members who may be struggling and having a positive attitude towards the team’s goals.
The successful candidate has:
- Experience with programming and/or scripting methodologies and languages, e.g.: YAML, Python, Powershell, Javascript or working knowledge in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g.: Java, C, C#, C++)
- Experience with one or more infrastructure automation technologies, e.g.: Ansible Tower, Azure DevOps, VMWare vRealize Suite, Terraform or ServiceNOW workflow automation
- A strong desire in continuing to develop IT networking and security technical skills
- An existing understanding of network platforms and internetworking architectures like virtual local area networks (VLANs), routers, switches and network protocols
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles and tools (e.g.: Jira, scrum, etc.) test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features
- A passion for collaboration / sharing / coaching with colleagues

Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you are effective at learning and applying new skills.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $85,100 to $106,300 (job grade 17)
- Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (7 to 10% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (15% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
