Job description: Cyber Security Analyst
Key Role:
The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for helping design and build effective security programs. Will span operational, tactical, and strategic levels as well as tasks that tackle difficult problems that businesses are facing when building out and improving their security posture. This is an opportunity to showcase and grow strong communication skills and experience in attack surface reduction, cyber threat intelligence, security operations, and other cyber programs to a portfolio of our commercial clients. Collaborate with a team that delivers world-class Cybersecurity capabilities across vulnerability management, security testing, threat detection and cyber intelligence solutions to large enterprise customers in support of their overall Cyber Defense programs. Recommend and document cybersecurity improvements based on assessment, operations, and analysis work. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with Python, Data Science and programming skills
- Knowledge of general Cybersecurity concepts and methods, including vulnerability management, application security, incident response, governance, risk or compliance, or security architecture
- Knowledge of vectors and detection patterns, including pyramid of pain, TTPs, IOC, IOA, and hunt
- Knowledge of support development of cyber operations metrics requirements and design of data schemas
- Knowledge of security platforms, including Nessus, NMAP, and Splunk
- Ability to interface with internal and external cyber operations stakeholders to define cross-functional business processes and relationships
- HS Diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in extracurricular activities, including school related IT security clubs, National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, or anything else that demonstrates an interest in hands-on practice
- Ability to navigate through issues on a daily basis and come up with solutions
- Ability to learn from others while sharing knowledge across the team
- Ability to participate within the Security community through social media interaction, meet-ups, and conferences
- Cybersecurity certifications are a plus
Compensation:
The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 55,000 to 60,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
