Job description: TEMPORARY DIGITAL LEARNING DESIGNER AT A MAJOR NYCN HEALTHCARE COMPANY
Hourly Pay Rate is Up to $66 per hour (based upon candidate and experience)
Fully Remote Role; Six-month Assignment with Possibility to go Permanent

Hours are Monday through Friday; 37.5 hours per day.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Major New York City Healthcare Company is looking for an experienced learning and development professional to join its team as a Temporary Digital Learning Designer. In this role, he/she will create, facilitate, and oversee organization-wide and custom-client learning initiatives. Design and deliver asynchronous and synchronous virtual programs and performance solutions for all levels of the organization, utilizing learning best practices and adult learning and organization development theories. Leverage assessments and analytics to drive learning adoption and on the job learning transfer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
>>Learning Design (40% of the job)
>>>>>Creates knowledge and skill-building solutions that meet the learning needs of staff to manager level clients and organizational goals
>>>>>Incorporates digital best practice design principles, adult learning and behavior science theories to optimize learning and on the job transfer
>>>>>Explores multiple design options, balancing creative and innovative solutions with implementation feasibility and scalability
>>>>>Creates, borrows, or buys assessment tools to enable self-awareness, knowledge and skills development

>>Program Delivery (30% of the job)
>>>>>Delivers virtual programs in a credible and engaging manner appropriate to the audience and subject matter
>>>>>Responds to participants and groups needs, promotes exploration and growth mindset, and role models diversity and inclusion
>>>>>Adapts style and content based on the needs of the group and unexpected situations, remaining focused on the client and organization goals
>>>>>Assesses quantitatively and qualitatively the impact of learning solutions against client goals and program objectives
>>>>>Plans for, collects, analyzes and communicates insights to show learning impact and develop recommendations for improvement

>>Consulting and Partnerships (15% of the job)
>>>>>Consults with clients and stakeholders to identify learning needs and maximize their or their groups effectiveness
>>>>>Communicates in a credible and influential manner working with clients and stakeholders to understand the underlying issues and build sustainable solutions
>>>>>Facilitates discussions using scientific and evidence-based information and practices
>>>>>Role models subject matter expertise for digital and virtual learning
>>>>>Builds professional partnerships to be up to date on learning and technology trends to improve upon effectiveness of work

>>Program and Project Leadership (15% of the job)
>>>>>Provides leadership for new and existing learning programs to deliver on time and budget
>>>>>Identifies and manages goals, scope, and execution of cross-functional, organization-wide projects
>>>>>Manages relationships and resolves implementation issues with project sponsors, key stakeholders, team members and vendors
>>>>>Sets direction and expectations with program team
>>>>>Monitors performance and provides feedback
>>>>>Provides performance information to management and helps align the team towards success
Required Skills:
-Bachelors degree in Psychology, or related discipline required
-Seven to Ten (7-10) years relevant experience; OR-Eleven (11) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
-Expertise in Talent Development, specifically designing and facilitating Virtual Learning Programs
-Digital design, Instructional design, Design thinking certifications and experience required
-Proven Problem-solving skills; Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills; and excellent Listening skills
-Excellent collaboration and team building skills; and High degree of initiative with demonstrated project management skills

Expected salary: $66 per hour
