Title: Store Manager, Upscale Urban Shoes & Apparel
LOCATION: Lower-Manhattan, New York
SUMMARY:
The Retail Store Manager oversees operations for the entire store Location. This includes Store Employees and collaboration hand-and-hand with Executive Leadership on Customer Service initiatives, Inventory Management, and Merchandise-management strategies. You will Act as a Brand Ambassador for a Highly-Reputable Retailer on some Groundbreaking New Initiatives!
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Monitor Stores Sales and Report to Senior Management
- Build a Fun work environment with a winning sales culture dedicated to customer satisfaction along with brand recognition and loyalty.
- Responsible for scheduling store staff to ensure proper coverage
- Mentor and coach store staff to deliver on sales metrics and core evaluations
- Visual Merchandising, price displays, and label advertisements
- Loss Prevention promotes necessary safety and security for customers and store employees
- Order Products to ensure timely delivery
- Handle store operating costs and budget when it comes to utilities, power, & other essential expenses.
- Management of In-Store Staff, Recruitment of store staff and team building, mentorship of staff to be product experts and build their sales skills.
- Manager of Special Events
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ Years of Experience as a Retail Store Manager Leading, Building, and Organizing High Performing Teams along with Operational Goals & Objectives
Brand Management:
- Experience in the strategic oversight of a brand and its development over time with milestones/metrics proactive to market trends, competitor, and consumer analysis.
Buying, Merchandising, Pricing, and Inventory Management:
- Able to utilize purchasing strategy and order-writing logic to set up new item orders and re-orders with the ability to rapidly address purchase order issues
- Capable of Onboarding new Products, Vendors, Merchandise
- Ability to Track and Escalate product information errors and/or inaccurate information
- Inventory Management and mitigation of overstocking of product and value maximization of products during liquidation
- Experience with the Proper Organization and assignment of Inventory
- Ownership capabilities when it comes to inventory management involving things like product data identifies wholesale/liquidation/eCommerce sales initiatives
- Understands Pricing Models for Inventory Items.
- Can Record, Analyze, Report and Draw Conclusion from Product KPI’s on a monthly basis
Leadership/Management:
- Player-coach rewarding and promoting the goals of peers, mastery of the approaches to being a Great Leader, and when to apply them

Cash Handling:
- Ability and trust to manage money, understand equipment Operations, Cash Registers, Point-Of-Sales Systems, awareness of up-and-coming technologies
- Calculate cash-on-hand, end-of-day calculation processes post-shift.
- Account Reconciliation
- Able to accurately present periodical sales reports for upper-management
- Basic to Advanced Mathematics and Accountancy Skills.
Customer Service:
- Understands customer experience and impression with the ability to communicate that throughout the organization
- Orchestrates customer experience strategy that connects customer experience with the brand and organizational objectives for the ultimate return on investment
- Stay on top of existing and future customer needs and concerns, work as Consultative expert in customer management and escalation/de-escalation of issues
- Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services
Fashion Management:
- Experience providing stylistic recommendations for major events
- Understands the role of Lighting and other aesthetics
- Adept in staying current with industry trends
- Proficient in troubleshooting fashion styling issues, can identify areas for process improvement
Project Management/Business Acumen:
- Able to drive a project from start to finish using Project Management Methodologies
- Implementation of Processes and Procedures, execute plans & strategies idea creation, standardization and constant improvement of existing processes
- Process Mapping and Documentation step-by-step
- Ability to identify process bottlenecks and different organizational analysis techniques
- Able to conduct an Impact Analysis to understand the full effects of the process
- Ability to craft a business plan and make the necessary adjustments
- Understanding of Economic and Regulatory Measures that might impact the business directly or indirectly
Technical Skills:
- Excellent MS Office Skills including Spreadsheets in Excel, databases, etc.
- Able to utilize spreadsheet software to work with multiple worksheets, filter data, use/ integrate functions and manipulate databases along with other Functions.
- PowerPoint Skills with templates for presentations, online meetings, and integration with other applications
Salary: $90,000/Year Base Salary

Location: Must be local or willing to relocate to New York City. Relocation is provided but must be willing to start by First week of April at the Latest!
