Job Title: Staff Accountant

Length of Assignment: Full time, Permanent
Salary: $55,000 a year – $65,000 a year

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Notice to Reader working paper files including all required forms, draft financial statements and corporate tax returns
- Preparation of regular external filings such as GST, T4’s & T5’s
- Performing bookkeeping including reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Provide support to clients on general questions regarding year end and bookkeeping issues
- Preparation of T1 Personal Income Tax Returns
- Compilation and organization of supporting documentation required to prepare income tax returns
A successful candidate will have:
- Proven technical abilities in preparing Notice to Reader engagements, and corporate and personal income tax returns
- CPA designation is a must
- 2 or more years of Public Accounting experience
- Experience with Audit and Assurance
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, which can be conflicting with one another;
- Experience working with Tax Prep, CaseWare, Microsoft Office suite, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting;
- A logical and analytical mind with the skill to read and understand variances;
- An inclination for attention to details and accuracy;
- High ethical standards;
- A desire to be an integral part of a healthy team environment.
