Senior Technical Support Specialist, Information Services

***This role is will be focused on the technical aspects relating to an HR / Payroll system implementation. Priority will be given to candidates who have technical, real world experience implementing an HRIS solution***

Your goal in this position is to play a critical role in ensuring proactive and timely response to secure technology and change initiatives, demonstrate ability to own components for the delivery and support of corporate systems. You have excellent interpersonal, organization and prioritization skills, demonstrated by the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You are a good collaborative team player who inspires a positive work environment and a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction as well as within a team. This position supports the hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation. This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.

On a practical level, you will

  • Effectively be responsible for the technical aspects in the delivery / execution of a large system implementation
  • Be a subject matter expert for all technical aspects of the HRIS implementation.
  • Analyze HRIS performance metrics and resolving application issues.
  • Documenting processes, identifying HR concerns, and compiling data analysis reports.
  • Developing and implementing new processes and systems for efficient HR management.
  • Optimizing HRIS processes, integrating new software, and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Performing statistical analysis on gathered HRIS data and running queries.
  • Ensuring the efficient recording and secure storage of HR metrics, including attendance and employee performance data.
  • Performing audits on HR processes and documents, including hiring, termination of service, and payroll administration, when required.
  • Documenting processes, identifying HR concerns, and compiling data analysis reports.
  • Works and consults co-operatively with user staff to ensure that departmental systems are compatible with Hospital Information Systems Security standards.
  • Works safely in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate is a must
  • Experience with Oracle Human Resources Management is an asset.
  • Proficiency in installation, maintenance and support of security infrastructure, application, and system integration.
  • Builds on continuous improvements within scope of work.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve goals. Eliminates the roadblocks.
  • Enjoy problem solving by being analytical and creative to tackle difficult issues.
  • Dedicate to providing exceptional customer service. Good team player and willing to pitch in on different projects as required.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with others. Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised or in a team, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform light lifting on standard computer devices as required.
  • This position is designed as a typical IT professional environment for the Hospital – day time shift regularly, and some evening and weekend support based on the Hospital operation needs.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset

Expected salary: $40.58 – 48.9 per hour
