Job description: Our client’s business is data! They are a consulting firm that helps its clients capitalize on their data. In most cases they must grab data from internal and external sources, build databases to hold it all, tie it all together, and build analyses on top. From large nonprofits to major agrochemical makers, this company helps then get the most out of their data. Now, they’re looking for a senior data analyst who can help them fulfill their mission.

THE WORK: The work includes:
- Working directly with clients to understand their business needs and data assets
- Designing data structures to hold marketing-optimized data
- Building ETL jobs to integrate data from the data assets and store it in the new data structures
- Applying business intelligence tools and spreadsheets to the data and developing analyses customers can use to reach the right prospects
LOCATION: This client is located in Rochester, NY. While remote options will be considered, strong preference will be given to candidates in or willing to relocate to the Rochester area.
Rochester is a lovely city that plays off its industrial heritage (it was the headquarters of Kodak) and is home to multiple world class universities. It’s an overlooked gem in upstate New York!
MODE: Permanent (visa sponsorship is available for strong candidates)
REQUIRED: Applicants must be very strong in:
- SQL
- BI Tool (Tableau or Power BI)
- Requirements Gathering
DESIRED: In addition, while not absolute requirements, it would be great if you had some background in:
- Data Modeling
- ETL (SSIS preferred)
- Alteryx
- Data Science (R, Python)
- Cloud Data Environments (Azure)
- Marketing Tools (Salesforce, MailChimp, etc.)
COMPENSATION: This role is budgeted at $80,000 to $100,000 per year plus a generous benefits package.
