Reporting to the Senior Analyst, Technology Architecture, the Specialist III, Technology Integration will provide specialized technical input and support during analysing requirements, designing, implementing, coordinating, and supporting integration of on-premises and cloud-based applications and systems into the organization’s technological environment.
Summary of Duties:
- Deploy Virtual Servers into the private or public cloud virtualization environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) as per design documents and release plans;
- Configure virtual infrastructure components such as compute, storage, memory and application resources as defined in the design documentation;
- Create and maintain virtual machine templates, libraries and technical documentation;
- Ensure that all hardware problems and issues are resolved for production, quality assurance and test environments and are performing optimally;
- Manage problem resolution as a liaison between end-user and IT Operations;
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (Internal and Cloud based) to gather requirements and create functional and technical specifications (supported by SLA’s and OLA’s as well as utilization pattern metrics);
- Work with other technical groups, end users and vendors to gather, analyse and document technical integration requirements for on-prem and cloud-based systems being deployed into TDSB’s environment;
- Develop and execute test plans in collaboration with technical peers and business clients, to ensure new changes integrate seamlessly in the current technical environment;
- Create status reports for the delivery of integration tasks (Internal and Cloud) to meet client needs;
- Develop scripts and infrastructure as Code for cloud automations and optimization;
- Assist in the evaluation and analysis of emerging technologies and approaches that will continually improve systems capability and performance;
- Provide pre and post implementation 3rd level support, including monitoring, maintenance and transition-to production integrations; and
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Computer Science or related field with 18 months related experience within an Information Technology environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Certification achieved as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Azure Administrator Associate or Equivalent Cloud or Hybrid Cloud Service administration certification or equivalent professional experience in Windows 2016 based servers;
- Technical training including, Network Architecture, large scale routed networks and enterprise network management system;
- Working experience with an ITSM tool such as Service Now;
- Applied knowledge of Google Apps, Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams and other SaaS;
- Understanding contents and intent of the production environment service level agreement;
- Understanding of I.S. information/process/technology architectures;
- Understanding of I.S. performance measurement program, overall and specific to problem management;
- Good oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills; and
- Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently meeting deadlines.
Special Requirements:
- Available on call evenings, weekends and extended vacation periods;
- Must be available to work overtime as required;
- May be required to work in computer rooms
