Job Description
We’re looking for an independent, bubbly and tech-savy Software Support Specialist to train our clients on how to use our specialized software. The right candidate for this role would be able to explain complicated IT concepts and instructions in a simplified way. Responsibilities would include:
- Mastering the use of our specialized competitive event software
- Scheduling and conducting software training sessions via video chat & phone
- Walking staff through setting up an IP network
- Testing and troubleshooting software errors
- Responding to various technical questions regarding our software
- Traveling to customer locations for additional support if needed (Covid permitting)
- Updating clients with any software issues that may arise on our end
- Working closely with our client base to better understand their software needs
Contract Type / Duration: Full time, permanent starting end of February, 2021
Location: Temporarily remote due to Covid-19. The office is located in Concord, but will be moving north of the city in the coming months.
Salary: $700 – $1000 /week, benefits offered after 3 month waiting period
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in computer science or IT
- 2-3 years of experience in software support AND IP Networking, required
- Solid understanding of Windows, OSX, iOS and Android operating systems, a must
- 2+ year of customer service experience
- Comfortable leading training sessions in person, over the phone, and over video chat
- Access to a quiet workspace and a reliable high-speed internet connection, required
- Independent worker with excellent verbal communication skills, a must
- Project management, dance or media production experience, assets!
