Job description: The Integrated Day Treatment Service within the Mood and Anxiety Division is currently seeking one full-time, temporary (4 months) Social Worker 2. Reporting to the Manager, you will be a member of an exciting Outpatient care service team that is client centered and is based on recovery principles for adults with a primary diagnosis of a mood and/or anxiety disorder, in addition to a concurrent substance use disorder, trauma and/or borderline personality disorder would benefit from intensive programming. Using an inter-professional team approach, clients are provided with psychiatric and discipline-specific assessment, as well as linkages to community supports and services. This Interprofessional team provides 7 independent phases of group programming which incorporate evidence-based practices including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Mindfulness, and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
The Social Worker 2 roles will provide cognitive and/or dialectical behavior therapy to clients with severe mood and anxiety related disorders and/or history of trauma. As a member of an interprofessional team, you will provide client-centered care, working in partnership with clients, their formal and informal supports, and the team, to support clients’ successful integration into their communities. You will be expected to facilitate group programming, manage referrals and triage processes, and offer individual support to clients currently attending the service. Your skills include the ability to make behavioral observations, mental status assessments, risk assessments, monitoring of clients’ responses to care interventions and documentation and ongoing communication with other team members and primary care partners. You have a sound knowledge of emergency psychiatry, crisis intervention, recovery, addiction issues and severe and persistent mental illness. You will liaise with community health care providers, both within and outside CAMH. You must be capable of providing supervision to social work students and contributing to the development of best practices unique to mental health and concurrent disorder treatment. You will be expected to contribute to program development, research and educational activities of the service. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all the applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position will involve providing clinical services in the day, evening and weekends and is located at the Queen Street Site.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Master of Social Work and be a member, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), with a combination of three (3) years’ of post-graduate psychotherapy experience working in a mental health/addiction setting. The candidate must be able to provide evidence of the OCSWSSW Checklist for competence to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy. Candidates must have experience utilizing [CBT/DBT/CPT, etc.], and preference will be given to those who hold certificates/certification. DBT is an asset. The candidate must also have received 3 years of entry-to-practice clinical supervision, plus 2-3 years (or 2000-3000 hours) of supervised experience in performing the controlled act of psychotherapy for the interventions required of the role. Social Work incumbents requiring further clinical supervision to be able to perform controlled act of psychotherapy must have this formal relationship pre-arranged by the clinical program, as a condition of hire, based on capacity. The successful candidate must be eligible for an adjunct faculty appointment with faculties of Social Work that have affiliation agreements with CAMH.

Salary Range: $35.42 – $47.73 per hour
