Pearson’s Online & Blended Learning K-12 group provides high-quality, highly accountable online education solutions to schools, school districts and students in grades K-12. It serves families and schools with a variety of digital learning and online school solutions including Connections Academy, Pearson Online Academy, and Pearson Connexus.

Position Summary:

Working from a home office, the Senior Analyst, Proposals writes, manages, and supports partner school contract applications and charter renewals, proposals and other business development documentation as needed for Pearson OBL/Connections Academy lines of business. Reporting to the head of Proposals, the Senior Analyst, Proposals supports the Proposal Team with initiatives and special projects to ensure the maintenance and growth of partner schools and district partnerships.

The Senior Analyst, Proposals writes original content and updates current content including narratives and pricing, works collaboratively with a variety of internal departments and school-based staff, follows internal quality control measures, and focuses on continuous improvement of applications/proposals. This position requires keeping current on all aspects of Pearson OBL/Connections Academy lines of business.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepares proposals, including formatting, proofreading, and producing applications/proposals

Populates and/or customizes proposal text owned by the proposals team as needed for each proposal

Produces all applications/proposals, including physical production of hard copies (copies, tabs, notebooks, etc.) and electronic production of soft copies (flash drives, online submissions, portal uploads)

Provides guidance to Proposal Analyst, as applicable

Assembles the final application/proposal in compliance with authorizer/client-specific instructions for both hard copies and soft copies

Manages RFA/RFP forms

Creates appropriate Issue Aware (IA) tickets and ensures IAs reflect current status of application/proposal process

Collaborates with appropriate SMEs to customize and finalize pricing

Reviews/rewrites application/proposal inputs and coordinates with internal teams and management to ensure accuracy

Maintains quality results by using templates

Follows application/ proposal writing standards, including readability, consistency, and tone

Edits applications/proposals and related documents for completeness and compliance with editorial standards and RFA/RFP requirements

Makes all public applications/proposals accessible for posting

Understands and keeps current on important aspects of the company, including curriculum, finance, operations, and data

Establishes open communication with cross functional and leadership team members

Develops and infuses win strategies and themes into proposals and applications

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Pearson products and services

Reviews and modifies competitive standard language to win proposals, RFP’s or charter applications

Attends, virtually or in person, required applicant/bidder meetings

Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position can expect a starting salary range of $85,000-$95,000, and are eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan. Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Journalism, Education, Marketing, or Communications required

Minimum of 5 years of writing experience

APMP Foundation desired; willingness to obtain certification by second year of employment

Superb writing skills, strong ability to summarize data concisely

Excellent PC skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office Professional (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional

Ability to manage a challenging workload in a fast-paced work environment

Extremely detail-oriented, efficient and able to multitask, prioritize and follow projects through to completion

Strong customer service orientation
