Senior Manager, Information Technology (I)

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage inter-related business and technology projects moving toward a common goal. Provide overall management for program/project activities to ensure they all move together toward meeting that goal.

Lead multi-functional project teams with minimal supervision and guidance in programs of moderate to high complexity and confidentiality.

Matrix management and influencing skills required to manage and direct resources in a matrix environment. Requires collaboration with key Business Group contacts, project teams and Global/Regional resources to design, develop and implement programs that support business objectives. Manage key relationships with core project teams and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively manage program, project, and process implementations to meet program goals successfully.
  • Successfully balancing project scope, time, cost, quality and risks, and ensuring completion of project/program deliverables.
  • Follow Project Management best practices for planning including managing action items, risks, schedule and overall project governance to control cost, scope, and schedule for multiple projects.
  • Produce and own the master schedule of initiatives, ensuring that all interdependencies are identified and factored into the master schedule.
  • Seek out cross-project synergies (across global initiatives, regional plans and inter-dependent projects) and ensure leveraged opportunities across all project initiatives.
  • Facilitate Change Management activities including readiness and cultural assessments, stakeholder and impact analysis, engagement plans, communication strategies and plans, risk assessment and management plans, and overall adoption of change.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute is required.
  • 7+ years experience in Program / Project Management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Change Management
  • Operations experience
  • Organizational change and restructuring experience a plus

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

  • Must have strong communication skills; orally and written; across functions and teams; up and down the chain of command. Listening and gathering information, simplifying complex topics for audiences and preparing quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders.
  • Negotiation skills, dealing with conflict and hard to get along with people is important.
  • Ability to facilitate process improvement efforts.
  • A great blend of Program/Project Management, Change Management, Relationship Management and general readiness and adoption background.
