Job description: Are you an experienced Financial Analyst looking to work for a dynamic organization? Our client in Kitchener is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst to their team. This position will play a key role in ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly time sensitive finance information is executed in a highly efficient and accurate manner.
This role will be reporting to the Accounting Manager, and this individual will be responsible for providing financial insight and support for the business leadership teams of two business units.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a small team of accounting staff (2-3 direct reports)
- Prepare and input journal entries, maintain G/L to financial statements, fixed assets, subledger, etc.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
- Reporting of month end financial information
- Analysis of financial statements
- Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting
- Support year-end audit
- 3 plus years’ accounting experience at the Senior Accountant level
- College or University degree in accounting/finance
- Must have consumer packaged goods or manufacturing experience to be considered for this position
- A CPA designation or working towards CPA is desired however it is not a requirement
- In depth knowledge and experience with accounting/ERP systems
- Advanced excel skills required
- Strong problem-solving skills
