Job description: Senior Bookkeeper
Village Juicery is searching for an experienced bookkeeper to join and lead our Finance team. Reporting directly to one of the company founders, the role will be responsible for all bookkeeping activities, financial reporting and reconciliations.
This role requires high knowledge of accounting principles along with ability to multitask. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, good at analysis and numbers.
Bookkeeper duties:
- Full cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, receivables, month end and year end activities
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts to QuickBooks
- Reconcile all banking ,credit card payments and preparation of expense reports
- Process invoices and maintain all accounting records
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Filing GST/HST and other statutory remittances
- File and maintain all employee records documents
- Run biweekly payroll schedules for all employees
- Maintain all property records for the company
- Filing and tracking of Grants with the ministry
- Liaison with third party like company accounting firm, financial institutions and others
Qualifications:
- College diploma/certificate in bookkeeping/ accounting/ finance
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
- 3-5 years experience with Bookkeeping and Payroll processing
- Excellent computer skills in Excel and communication skills required
- Extreme competence in standard accounting software (Quickbooks mandatory)
Working:
This role will be remote to start, with occasional meetings at our headquarters in Mississauga, ON until lockdown restrictions are removed. Post the lockdown restriction, we will be happy to look at a blend of work from home and in the office.
