Job description: The Campbell Family Research Institute is currently seeking one (1) Research Analyst to be part of the Addictions Division at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). In this position, you will support applied research in mood and addictive disorders. As part of a larger team, you will support original clinical research projects as well as ongoing knowledge translation and exchange activities. These projects include longitudinal cohort studies and intervention studies, frequently with a focus on digital health resources. As part of a larger scientific team, you will provide support on an as required basis for all aspects of these projects, including recruitment and screening of research participants, scheduling and coordinating participant appointments, obtaining informed consent, tracking data collection and database maintenance, and administering participant honoraria. Successful candidates will also support study administration, including programming online surveys and computer-based testing, reporting to research ethics, quality assurance, and research finance and contracts. Online survey platforms and computer-based tasks include RedCap, E-Prime, and Inquisit. As part of a larger scientific team, the successful candidate will also assist team members in the preparation of knowledge translation and exchange products such as oral and poster presentations and social media communications as required. Qualifications:

The successful candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a similar relevant field combined with one (1) year of clinical or research experience with individuals or families with mental health and/or addiction issues. Experience working or volunteering in an academic laboratory setting is required. Proven ability to effectively explain research studies, including ethical issues, and issues of confidentiality are necessary. Proficiency in PC software skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet Search engines (e.g. PsychInfo, Medline), survey and testing software (e.g. RedCap; E-Prime; Inquisit), and statistical software (e.g. SPSS, R), as well as the ability to learn new programs as necessary are required. Experience in computer-based and online methods of data collection and/or knowledge dissemination would be advantageous. Demonstrated interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and diverse stakeholders. Highly proficient communications skills (both oral and written) are required as is the ability to explain complex issues in plain language. Experience in presentation of research results (e.g., oral or poster presentations) is required. Experience in supporting other forms of knowledge dissemination or translation activities would be an asset. The candidate will be detail oriented, well organized, with the ability to multi-task, to produce high-quality work, to meet deadlines, and to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility is required with respect to work assigned and variable hours of work. Candidates will possess the ability for self-directed learning/working, as well as collaboration and teamwork. Candidates require the ability to work effectively in a wide range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) or the proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.

Please note: This one (1) full-time, contract position lasting 12 months is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.

Salary range: $24.60 to $32.81 per hour
