What you will do
As a Recruitment Specialist, you are the subject-matter expert that will proactively guide and coach hiring managers through the full-cycle recruitment process, advising them on sourcing strategies, legislative requirements (i.e., diversity and inclusion, privacy and compliance) and recruitment best practices. You will also develop and implement effective and innovative, individualized recruitment strategies with hiring managers, to source, recruit and hire high-quality candidates in various fields such as Information Technology, Economics, Finance and Communications.
You will also gather and analyze internal and external information to assess existing recruitment policies, programs or services in order to identify opportunities for improvement, process streamlining and better service delivery. You may also lead or participate in other HR projects and may be required to participate in cross-functional or Bank-wide projects to provide advice related to your personal field of expertise.
Your commitment to excellent client service, enables you to provide thoughtful guidance and advice to your peers as well as to employees, leaders and senior management. You will also collaborate with various members of the HR team, including the HR Centre, Payroll, Benefits Administration and HR Business Partners.
Note: This anticipatory staffing process will be used to fill position(s) in spring/summer 2021.
What you need to succeed
Attention to detail, strong planning and organizing skills and the ability to prioritize work is key in this role. Our Recruitment Specialists work in a very dynamic environment, so you will need to be adaptable and able to track, advance and report on multiple files and projects with varying deadlines. If you thrive at building relationships, then you will have plenty of opportunities when dealing with internal business units and various stakeholders at the Bank. It would be ideal if you had knowledge of applicable laws, policies and practices related to recruitment.
Nice-to-have
- Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
- Knowledge of SuccessFactors and SAP
Your education and experience
Experience leading full-cycle recruitment process including, sourcing, developing outreach strategies and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What you need to know
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
- Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $80,300 to $94,400 (job grade 16)
- Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
