As a Product data analyst, you will work with the product team to engage client stakeholders, external users, internal software engineering and UI/UX design teammates to bring clarity and alignment from start to finish. You will have a strong analytical and data-driven approach, helping our team organize, visualize and understand large data sets relating to various performance marketing channels. You will participate in deep-dive analytics, creation of regression models, build dashboards and generate reports to drive business growth and draw strategic insights from product and user data.

Job Status: 4 months paid internship at $15/hr, Full-Time hours.

Location: 100% Remote Work (Remote applicants must reside in Canada and have valid Canadian work authorization).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining existing KPIs and reporting for engineering and product teams
  • Propose and implement new metrics that provide actionable insights for our teams and the company. Dig deep into Avesdo’s data to discover insights and correlations.
  • Utilize our product analytics tool (Pendo) to track user behaviours, gather insights, create metrics, and create guides to engage and educate users
  • Leverage data and use it to answer business questions and drive strategy & decision making
  • Access, clean and organize raw data in a way that makes sense for both you and the team
  • Visualizations: help us to see and understand our data in a way that makes sense, creating automated dashboards and funnels for various internal teams
  • Remain alert to new techniques for insights, analytics, and data visualization, and devises new ways of applying them
  • Support product team in user and market research by taking notes, transcribing interviews and recordings, and asking follow up questions.
  • Harvest new insight from user & market research, customer success, sales opportunities, product analytics data, and other sources
  • Research and analyze industry trends and benchmarking information as they apply to Avesdo business models and domain needs
  • Draft release notes and content to support future product releases

Additional opportunities and challenges:

  • Compile industry research and analysis to validate assumptions and uncover new market opportunities
  • Conduct competitive product/pricing analysis and market research, evaluate sales performance, and formulates and reviews strategic long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product areas
  • Ideate on new concepts and opportunities to address emerging and future customer needs
  • Collaborate with Software Developers and Experience Designers to develop and iterate on solutions from initial concept through execution and delivery
  • Support the product teams with the development and go-to-market launch of new products and capabilities

Who we’re looking for:

  • Recent graduates preferably in a discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Sciences or equivalent
  • Loves solving difficult problems and finding the ‘right’ solutions
  • Strong ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and languages
  • Demonstrated ability to convert ambiguous requirements into an effective solution
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis, and trends and apply knowledge of measurement and statistics to turn data into stories that key stakeholders can understand
  • Strong Excel skills, including mastery of vlookups, complex formulas, pivot tables and macros
  • You can write SQL queries & perform data analysis, and know your way around visualization tools
  • You are naturally curious and have a solid understanding of common statistical methods and their real-world applications
  • Excellent interpersonal/team skills
  • Be able to work in an agile project environment
  • Good attention to details
