**THIS POSITION IS WFH UNTIL AT LEAST APRIL AND THEN WILL BE REASSESSED AS TIME GOES ON**
Position Purpose: Making regulatory phone calls to providers and inputting prior authorizations into PBM platform
Pay Rate: $18 – $22 hourly (determined on experience)
Start/End Time: Mon-Fri, 9am-5: 30pm or 9: 30am-6pm
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required
Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers
Approve coverage determination requests based on defined criteria
Enter and document coverage determination request decision into the PBM system and notify providers and/or members
Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM on-line applications
Refer coverage determination requests for specialty drugs to delegated vendor or client for processing
Contact providers for additional information to facilitate coverage determination reviews
Notify physicians, providers and members of coverage determination request decisions
Required Skills:
PTCB or NHA certification is required.
2+ years of retail, hospital or mail order pharmacy experience
Software Data entry Skills Required: knowledge of Microsoft Suite and pharmacy system experience with strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of different MS suites (word and excel)
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a Managed Care Pharmacy Setting
Experience with CVS/Health PBM Systems: RxClaim, CAS, MedHOK
