We are recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant for a non-retail pharmacy in the Mississauga area. This well-established employer has a strong vision and plenty of success under their belts – they are growing fast and they want you to grow with them! The Pharmacy Assistant is a packaging role in a high-volume environment similar to long-term care. The Pharmacy Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are filled correctly, on time, and according to a high standard of quality. Working with a small team of 3, the Pharmacy assistant operates PACMed and PACVision machines, fills and packages medications, and uses a keen eye for detail to avoid errors. If you enjoy owning your work from start to finish, this is the role for you!
We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Assistant in the Mississauga with availability to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
What YOU will be doing as a Pharmacy Assistant:
– Packaging medications using PACMed
– Picking medications and filling trays
– Using attention to detail and expertise to ensure that medications are properly packaged and follow quality standards
– Receiving and monitoring inventory
– Operating and maintaining PACMed and PACVision machines
– Working with the pharmacy team to ensure that orders are filled to deadline in accordance with policies and procedures
Qualifications
What YOU bring to the role of Pharmacy Assistant:
– 1-3 years of experience in community or long-term care pharmacy
– Previous Experience with PACMed or PACVision
– Excellent attention to detail
– Organization and time management skills
– Strong commitment to excellence and quality
– Good communication skills
– Team player – comfortable working in a team of 3
