Job title: Personal Support Worker

Job description: Home Care Assistance Waterloo is currently hiring PSWs & Caregivers who have good interpersonal skills and a good command of the English language.
The right candidate MUST be comfortable working in a Covid outbreak facility. Full PPE will be provided
Compensation: up to $18/hr (Based upon the experience)
Working hours: Days and Nights 12-hour shifts
Work location: Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph

Duties:
- Taking care of client(s) with their daily routine such as medication, bathing, changing clothes etc.
- Assisting with prepping the meals.
- Keeping a track of all the client’s health and report any changes to the RPN (Registered Practical Nurse).
- Check for any symptoms related to Covid-19 and report if found any.
- Maintain proper and detailed documentation of work on a daily basis.
- Assist with laundry and other departments when needed.
- Follow government health rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure the PPE (Proper Protective Equipment) is worn all the time for safety purposes (PPE will be provided from us).
- Perform other duties assigned.
Qualification:
- Previous experience working in a similar role is an asset.
- Students with summer break are welcome to apply.
- Comfortable working around positive Covid-19 patients.
- Experience working in a nursing home considered a strong asset.
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Able to work under pressure.
