Nithview Community is a seniors’ community designed to provide several types of accommodation and services. Residents are able to choose the type of accommodation that is most appropriate for their care needs and continue to live within the community of care as their needs change. Emphasis is placed on assisting residents to live life to the fullest in this dynamic residential setting.
WAGE: $17.25 – $20.36 hourly
- A Weekend Shift Premium of $2.00 hourly applies to all hours worked between 10:00pm on Friday and 6:00am on Monday.
- A Night Shift Premium of $0.40 hourly applies to all regular hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
About the Position:
As a valued member of the team, the Nurse’s Aide (Non-certified Care Provider) demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality care in accordance with organization’s vision and mission.
The Nurse’s Aide is accountable to the Director of Resident Services for the provision of support with activities of daily living to residents and performs other transferred functions i.e. medication administration as assigned. This role may also assist with dining service, recreation program support and common area housekeeping in varying locations.
The Nurse’s Aide is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the core values, ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Successful completion of Personal Service Worker certificate program or experience in related field is an asset
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
- Food Handlers Certification & Smart Serve certification an asset
- Current CPR training and experience with medication administration; training will be provided
- Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
