Roles & Responsibilities:
The Manager, Nursing Quality Improvement is responsible for administration of the Department of Nursing quality assessment and improvement program, the development and implementation of an integrated performance improvement system, and the establishment of plans and strategies to operationalize the system with the goal of improving organizational effectiveness in quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
-Establishes mechanisms for using data to drive improvements in quality of patient care and outcomes through evidence-based practice
-Assists Department of Nursing staff, and performance improvement teams, to comply with Mount Sinai Hospital institutional processes for conducting and reporting quality activities
– Provides education and consultation to internal and external constituents regarding quality and outcomes management activities
– Ensures that data is disseminated throughout the nursing organization, and assist nursing staff to interpret and use data to improve care or resolve
Requirements:
Licensure: New York State License as a registered professional nurse with current registration
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree in Nursing or health related field.
- A minimum of 2 years quality improvement work experience.
- Computer skills: Advanced level of computer skills such as Excel, Access, Powerpoint
