Pharmacy Technician – Mail Order
Job Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician- Mail Order, you will be responsible for maintaining productivity and quality standards as well as legal and company compliance and track and triage all incoming and outgoing prescriptions as well as follow the policies and procedures of the pharmacy.
- Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
- Answer telephones, responding to questions or requests.
- Assist customers by answering simple questions or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information.
- Establish or maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients.
- Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, or supplies and enter inventory data into computer.
- Coordinate the scheduling of patient medication delivery
- Analyzes, researches, and resolves initial investigation of escalated customer shipping issues and complaints
- Scanning profiles, correspondence and prescriptions and then filing.
- Pulling hard copy scripts to return to patient with an appropriate letter if pharmacy is unable to fill the order.
- Works well in a team environment
- Protects patients’ privacy rights by adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, state and federal pharmacy regulatory agencies.

- Area: Rochester, NY
- Licensure Requirements: PTCB preferred
- Education: High School Diploma
- Years of Experience: 2 Years of Pharmacy Retail experience
- Schedule: M-F and some weekends and some Holidays
- Length of Assignment:
- Pay: $15.50 an hour
- Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete a background check, client health screening criteria and drug screen
