This full-time, ten-month tenure track program faculty position is in MVCC’s School of STEM – Career. Responsibilities include leadership, classroom and laboratory teaching in the Electrical Service Technician AOS program and the Electrical Engineering Technology AAS program, which is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
MVCC is looking for exceptional colleagues. We seek candidates with: an understanding of the college mission and teaching experience in a comprehensive community college; a focus on student success in a learner-centered environment; and a willingness to use technology to support learning in the academic setting, including on-line instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.
The position requires student advisement and committee responsibilities, curriculum development and program assessment activities, variable teaching schedules and alternative instructional strategies as assigned. Participation in service-based learning and interest in international initiatives are appreciated. The position requires on campus obligations. Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology, required
- A Master’s degree, and experience with industrial electronics, control systems, mechatronics, and/or related discipline, required
