Job description: We are a small public accounting firm located in the Niagara Region. We have a wide variety of client-types including sole proprietors, partnerships, small corporations, and multiple entity corporate groups.

We are conveniently located within an upscale commercial and residential area with easy access to major transportation routes with plenty of ‘at the door’ free parking.

Credentials Required

Qualifications

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate integrity, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Identify, analyze, respond to, and resolve issues and problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent client relation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Ability to work independently

Education Required

  • High degree of computer knowledge and comfortable working within a ‘paperless’ environment
  • Experience working with professional income tax software (preferably TaxPrep and ProSystem FX)
  • General public accounting or bookkeeping experience is an asset but not required

Skills Required

We are looking for an experienced Canadian and USA personal income tax preparer for the period April 1st to April 30th/May 31st. Continuing full- or part-time employment might be available where mutually agreeable.
Hourly rate of $15 – $25, commensurate with experience.

Experience Required

A minimum of 5 years of current or recent experience preparing Canadian and USA personal income tax returns
