Job description: Robert Half Financial Services are recruiting for a Financial Planning Advisor role within a boutique Wealth Manager based in midtown Manhattan, New York. Our client requires a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and at least 4 to 7+ years’ in a Financial Planning or Advisor role at a wealth manager or investment advisory firm. **This role is initially fully remote however will eventually require at least 1 or 2 days per week the midtown Manhattan New York office**

The Financial Planning Advisor would directly service a segment of clients by leading initial discovery sessions, developing financial goals, holding periodic update meetings, and implementing investment strategies developed together with the Senior Advisors. The Financial Planning Advisor is responsible for client service, client education and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the primary client liaison for their customized asset management plan inclusive of Asset Allocation, Portfolio Construction, Discretionary Management, Cash Management, Income Planning, Retirement Planning, Liabilities Planning and Insurance Reviews.
  • Working with clients to understand risk tolerance, needs and objectives to help craft a financial plan with the support of the Director of Financial Planning. This plan may include Cash Management, Income Planning, Retirement Planning, Philanthropic goals, Liabilities Planning and Insurance Reviews.
  • Working with Senior Advisors on Asset Allocation, Risk Management and Portfolio Construction to build an investment portfolio that is aligned with client needs.
  • Scheduling, preparing for, and conducting periodic client meetings including reviews, analysis, and presentation of the financial plan, investment recommendations and potential estate plan considerations.
  • Developing relationships with centers of influence such as lawyers & accountants to provide a team approach to financial planning.
  • Identifying ways to broaden and enhance client relationships.
  • Educating clients on the added value of financial planning that complements the firm’s traditional asset management relationships.
  • Providing timely and proactive client outreach to educate clients on the implications / opportunities ahead as part of our Wealth Management services.
  • Effectively developing and communicating sophisticated planning solutions on various topics in a concise, understandable manner;

Expected salary: $100000 per year
