Although the the title of the position is Financial Analyst, the position is somewhat of a hybrid between accounting and analysis. You’ll report into the head of FP& A and work closely with the Controller too.

Responsibilities include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management.

Major responsibilities

– Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

– Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks

– Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources

– Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)

– The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information

– Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes

– Compile and supervise forecasting reports

– Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to see the proper execution of plans

– Drive Area/Segment-level on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting

– Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary

-Inventory analysis and cost accounting

Job Requirements:

– Sound written and verbal communication skills

– Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

– BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or a related field

– Solid understanding of Excel
