Administrative responsibilities include responding to inquiries; scheduling diverse and complex appointments and meetings with a range of stakeholders and collaborators; scheduling travel arrangements; attending high-level event/program meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes, and composing correspondence/reports; developing, monitoring, and reconciles budgets; and assisting with other budget management activities, e.g., running reports, recordkeeping, analyzing expenditures, providing recommendations for adjustments, paying invoices, verifying procurement card transactions, and staying within budget and following budgetary guidelines. ” />

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years’ related experience; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills; experience working with the public; attention to detail; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines, assume responsibility and work with minimal supervision, learn quickly and follow processes effectively, and demonstrate inclusive practices and meaningful community engagement; and experience with technology, particularly customer relationship management systems and electronic calendars. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree, STEAM education and/or public programs experience, experience working at MIT and/or in Cambridge. Job #19646-6
Must be willing to work nights and weekends as required.
Hourly range: $25.00 – $29.00
This is a term position through October 1, 2022.
Programming is currently virtual due to COVID-19, but will transition to in-person as soon as it is safe to do so.
