We are currently seeking a Temporary full-time Epidemiologist – Remote to join our MAI Epidemiology & Surveillance team (approximate end date is 2022/03/31).
In this role you will participate in the planning and designing of epidemiologic evaluations, providing advice and be responsible for data collection and management to support research activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Plans and designs research projects.
- Prepares and maintains standard research protocols.
- Develops study materials (e.g. develop and test questionnaires).
- Conducts statistical analysis and provides interpretation of epidemiologic studies.
- Compiles information regarding new issues in transfusion epidemiology to support research and ongoing operations and to develop areas of research.
- Prepares written reports and manuscripts.
Required Skills:
- A PhD in Epidemiology or related field (eg Sociology, Biostatistics).
- An acceptable record of publication in scientific journals.
- Sound technical skills in statistical and epidemiological software, proficiency in SAS is preferred.
- Must be an effective team player.
- Strong time management skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Excellent writing skills are essential.
