Robert Half Technology is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an easy-to-understand and concise format. Problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment may succeed this Desktop Support Technician role. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a short-term temporary opportunity, is located in the New York, New York, area. This position is in a Broadcast environment providing live support.
Key responsibilities
-Provide live support to on air broadcast team
– Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
– Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
– Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
– Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions
– Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
– Offer your support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
– Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
Job Requirements:
– Command of Microsoft Office
-Broadcast environment support experience
experience supporting live events
– Microsoft Office 365 experience
– Mac OS experience preferred
– Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server
– Desktop support or related experience
– Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
