Robert Half Technology is looking for a Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. If you are an articulate problem solver who loves to work in a challenging and positive environment, this may be the Desktop Support Technician role for you. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a long-term temporary opportunity based in the Uniondale, New York, area.
Key responsibilities
– Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
– Organize hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
– Interface regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
– Curate records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
– Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
– Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions
– Offer your support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
Job Requirements:
– Command of Microsoft Office 365
– Solid understanding of Microsoft
– Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
– 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience
