Job description: A global and well regarded Investment Bank is looking to hire a Data Warehouse Developer (AVP level) to undertake day to day support and technical development activities on an Oracle 12c database.

Description This position requires a skilled Developer or Support Analyst who can work on activities related to Oracle 12c database. The candidate will work with various development teams to enhance the data warehouse and reporting activities of the platform. Further responsibilities include:
- Develop efficient ETL routines using Oracle database technologies such as PL/SQL
- Work with the overnight batch processes using schedule software like Control-M
- Help define test cases and work closely with users assisting them with testing bug fixes or new features and functions
- Ensure due diligence has been carried out on all software changes, component and systems integration testing
- Design and develop warehouse enhancements
- Load and validate dimensions and measures stored procedures
- Perform all application unit and system testing
- Create data dictionary’s and proper documentation on the data warehouse (Oracle DB)

Required
- Solid Oracle Development and PL/SQL skills with 11g or later
- Data Warehousing Design Experience and Kimball Methodologies
- SQL Server Development skills with version 2008 R2 or later is preferred
- Experience of writing ETL Packages using SSIS is preferred
- Experience of working within a large database development project team
Preferred
- The ability to understand financial products and how they are reported on by Risk, Product Control and Finance departments within an investment bank
- Business knowledge of various sections used in 2052a filing.
- Experience working on scheduling software such as Control-M

- Have a “can do” attitude with flexibility to adapt
- Good communication skills, and the ability to simplify technical jargon into business speech
- Agile and flexible approach to delivery
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure clarity of communication to users and Technology colleagues
- Be comfortable with on-call/out of hours support and have a flexible approach to working hours
The Investment Bank is based in New York and the US business provides an expansive product suite through Capital Markets Credit, Equities, Rates and Structured Products.
