Job title: Cost Accountant

As a Cost Accountant, you will be tasked with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidate must possess top-notch cost accounting and analytical skills. Beyond solid compensation, this full-time role comes with excellent benefits and the opportunity to grow
– Collect data to determine the cost of business activities to set up standard cost BOMs in ERP: raw material, labour, yield, overhead
– Develop, maintain, and verify standard costing model
– Produce and analyze weekly labour variance. Support and guide operation’s understanding of the numbers
– Analyze actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard to actual production costs
– Conducts and supervises time studies to create labour and raw material cost standards
– Provide back up for standard cost consumable revisions
– Analyze changes in product, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on costs
– Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting pricing and profitability of products and services
– Setup and maintain cost accounting system
– Provides year-end audit support
– Post-secondary education in a related field
– Designation preferred
– Manufacturing experience is required.
