I have a GREAT role for a professional Corporate Accountant/Analyst in Financial Services
About our Client and the Role:
This is a growing financial services firm within the private investment sector. This role will assist the partners and managers with a variety of general accounting and bookkeeping tasks. Duties would include but not be limited to:
Responsibilities would include:
- Tracking investment portfolio calculations of cost and gain
- Reviewing shares, options and warrants
- Handle accounts receivable and payable, bank deposits and expense reports;
- Complete HST returns and other CRA reporting, as required;
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy;
- Assess and close all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, validate content and resolve various issues;
- Reconcile bank statement and review payroll records;
- Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliation and foreign exchange translation;
- Prepare quarterly government remittances for various client companies;
- Maintain an organized working environment by ensuring that various client companies’ business records and filing are up-to-date and in order.
Qualifications:
- University Degree with 5+ years accounting or analysis experience within professional services
- A Love for the financial services / banking / investment industry
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel)
- You have exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills, confidence, poise, integrity and professionalism.
- You have the ability to work independently but also work effectively in a team environment
