Job description: CAMH’s Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) works with partners across Ontario to support the province’s efforts to create sustainable, system-level change in the mental health and addictions system in Ontario. With offices across the province, PSSP is on the ground, collaborating with stakeholders to build a better system through our work in implementation, knowledge exchange, evaluation, information management, health equity and engagement. Reporting to the Manager, Knowledge Exchange, the Knowledge Broker will support the development of the content for the Cannabis Knowledge Exchange Hub, which will connect diverse service providers in Ontario, support inter-professional education and knowledge exchange, including collaborative problem solving among health professionals. Visit http://cannabisknowledgehub.ca/ to learn more. The Knowledge Broker will support the development of knowledge products such as evidence briefs, case studies, infographics, and webinars. The Knowledge Broker will also conduct literature searches, review and summarize relevant literature and work collaboratively with clinicians, research scientists, web developers, and other internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to identify, interpret and synthesize research evidence will be integral to your process of developing course material and other targeted knowledge content. Responsibilities include requesting permissions from publishers and coordination of some project related activities. You will have excellent writing skills and the ability to compose content for online consumption.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in a health, social, behavioral or related science combined with three years of relevant research and/or knowledge translation and exchange experience. The ability to assess the quality of evidence, and interpret and synthesize research evidence is required. Previous experience conducting and writing scoping and rapid reviews of the literature, evidence briefs and/or research snapshots is required. Experience working within research or health sector, and in the area of mental health is preferred. Understanding of adult education principles is an asset. Experience creating web-based content is required. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written), and organizational skills are required, along with creative problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will possess the ability for self-directed learning/working and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboration and teamwork. You must be proficient in MS Office software, and Internet search engines. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, inclusivity and respect is required. Bilingualism (French/English) is a requirement for this role.

Please Note: This full-time, contract position until December 31st, 2021 is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.

Salary Range: $31.88 to $43.01 per hour
