The Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH works with partners across Ontario to support the province’s efforts to create sustainable, system-level change in the mental health and addictions system in Ontario. With offices across the province, PSSP is on the ground, collaborating with stakeholders to build a better system through our work in implementation, knowledge exchange, evaluation, information management, health equity and engagement. PSSP is seeking a full-time, contract CH&E Coordinator to support the Understanding Mental Health and Well-Being in Later Life project that aims to raise awareness of mental health and substance use issues among Ontario older adults and promote help-seeking behaviour. The CH&E Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and coordination of virtual and in-person trainings and workshops across the province. Working with the project team, internal and external partners and the project advisory committee, the incumbent will plan, organize and coordinate a range of initiatives, including but not limited to trainings and capacity building activities for facilitators and health service providers, workshops for older adults and caregivers, as well as other events. Responsibilities include assessing training and resource needs, recruiting and engaging workshop facilitators and subject matter experts, mapping out training plans, scheduling workshops, coordinating logistics, tracking attendance, monitoring outcomes, supporting the development of training material and other resources, and providing orientation to new facilitators. Working with the Project Manager, the CH&E Coordinator will assist in creating project documentation, plans and reports; monitor and track project progress; and establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities also include planning and coordination of meetings, developing meeting materials, taking minutes and following up on action items.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in health or social sciences, or related field combined with three years of relevant experience, preferably in the mental health, addictions, and/or social services sector. Previous experience planning and coordinating projects, workshops or events is required. Basic research skills such as literature reviews and environmental scans are required. Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, produce and coordinate projects to tight deadlines are required. Proficiency in MS Office and web-conferencing software (WebEx, Zoom) is required. Previous experience organizing interactive web-based events is required. Demonstrated commitment to principles of health equity, inclusivity, respect and social justice is required. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in an inter-professional team environment and with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds is necessary, as demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with diverse sectors and communities.
Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
Please Note: This full-time, temporary position until March 31st, 2022 is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.
Salary Range: $33.01 – $ 44.53 per hour.
