What you will do
As the Business Systems Analyst, you will collaborate with business partners and colleagues to identify user requirements, perform business process and systems analysis, assess process improvements and support Cloud-based solutions. You will also participate in the evaluation and delivery of new Cloud technologies at the Bank, with a key focus on enhancing Bank staff’s user experience, as well as assess feasibility and readiness for new technology deployments at the Bank. You will support the transition of legacy applications and workloads to varying cloud solutions and will also participate in the monitoring of these cloud platforms.
As the subject matter expert, you will also ensure that technologies continue to meet business needs, while maintaining an appropriate balance between functionality and security. In addition, you will build an understanding of the organization’s resources and capacity for change and develop the processes, tools and techniques required to effectively meet the change objectives.
What you need to succeed
Ability to plan, organize and perform multiple tasks concurrently; set priorities; focus on attention to detail; and meet deadlines are key in this role. Since you will be collaborating with various colleagues and stakeholders, you will need excellent verbal and written communication.
In addition, you should have:
- support and evolve the Bank’s Microsoft Office 365 SaaS suite of tools, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams
- monitor the performance of the Bank’s Cloud platforms and follow-up with relevant stakeholders to address any issues
- ability to work with technical specialists to ensure that departmental business needs and requirements are met
- experience with Agile/SCRUM and DevOps as delivery methodologies, including a commitment to the success of the testing phases and processes
- experience gathering and documenting user needs and translating them into technical requirements
Nice-to-have
- Microsoft cloud certifications
- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation
- knowledge of Organizational Change Management (ADKAR) principles, approaches and methodologies
Your education and experience
The position requires a relevant university or college degree (e.g., information technology, project management, business analysis) and five years of experience in business analysis, project management, information technology or process analysis environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
What you need to know
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
- Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
- Security level required: Reliability
- You will work remotely from any location within Canada while the Bank operates under mandatory telework. Flexibility for remote work for the duration of the term may be granted.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $80,300 to $94,400 (job grade 16)
- Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
