Job description: Minimum Qualifications The selected candidate must be eligible for transfer or reachable on the appropriate exams for this title in accordance with the provisions of Civil Service Law, Rules and Regulations.
This position may be filled as a two-year traineeship.
Duties Description This position may be in-person, remote, or partially remote and partially in-person, however this is subject to change.
- Develop business requirements for new processes and systems used by the Tax Department.
- Assist with the implementation and testing of new equipment/software.
- Coordinate the department wide roll out of new equipment/software.
- Maintain Department equipment inventories.
- Act as a contributor and administrator for the Department’s Tech Advisor SharePoint site.
- Act as a contributor and administrator for the Department’s Remote Workforce SharePoint site.
- Participate in creation of periodic messages designed to enhance the remote work experience through the Department’s Work Better Now communication campaign.
- Address questions from Tax employees. When appropriate, ensure that help tickets are submitted. Follow-up on issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and review detailed instructions and other documentation that will be used by department Help Desk Coordinators.
- Comply with Office of Human Resource Management, Affirmative Action, Code of Conduct, Ethics, and Internal Control rules, policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the Department’s time and attendance rules and regulations.
