Business and Technical Writer Analyst

What you will do
As the Business Analyst and Documentation Specialist, under the general direction of the Senior Manager, Contract & Vendor Management and working closely with the Senior Manager, Unclaimed Properties, Operations, you will provide analytic support mid-size projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Unclaimed Properties Office (UPO). You will provide expertise in the areas of technical documentation and information management, as well as provide specialized communication support to develop procedures and training materials to support UPO Operations.
What you need to succeed
You have a technical writing certification and have demonstrated experience in the technical writing profession, i.e., writing, editing, document design and management, concepts, and delivery as well as experience as a Business Analyst. You have practical experience within a Microsoft working environment (e.g., Office, Outlook, Access, Project) and using GitHub, Flare. You are able to maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and clients. You are experienced in process and procedures documentation, with the skill to write clearly and concisely for paper and online formats according to ISO certification standards, as well as proofreading, with a focus on grammar, spelling and content flow.
You have the ability to:
- systematically analyze procedures and processes and to suggest new and effective communication designs
- investigate and solve problems, taking into consideration the needs of clients
- consider the context of the document and to propose to clients a style or medium that meets their needs in disseminating information
- resolve documentation issues and make recommendations concerning products with tact, confidence and integrity
- collaborate effectively with others on a team and promote quality work through effective contribution to team efforts
- describe complex processes and concepts simply, clearly and concisely
Nice-to-have
- ability to participate in overlapping projects or areas of responsibility
- working knowledge of Unclaimed Properties Office
Your education and experience
- university degree or college diploma in business administration and a minimum of two years of experience writing business processes and technical documentation
or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
What you need to know
- Language requirement: English or French essential
- Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
- Security level required: Reliability
- You will work remotely from any location within Canada while the Bank operates under mandatory telework. Flexibility for remote work for the duration of the term may be granted.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $63,500 to $74,600 (job grade 14)
- Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
