What you will do
As the Business Analyst, you collaborate with business partners and colleagues to identify user requirements, perform business process and systems analysis, assess process improvements and support overall project solutions. You will combine strong analysis, problem-solving and communication skills to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and quality in your deliverables.

You will participate in the evaluation and delivery of new technologies at the Bank, with a key focus on enhancing Bank staff’s user experience, as well as assess feasibility and readiness for new processes and technology deployments focused on the management of third party risk at the Bank. You will also ensure that technologies continue to meet business needs, while maintaining an appropriate balance between functionality and security. In addition, you build an understanding of the organization’s resources and capacity for change and develop the processes, tools and techniques required to effectively meet the change objectives.

What you need to succeed
You have experience gathering and documenting user needs and translating them into technical requirements. An ability to plan, organize and perform multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines is also important. You should also have an ability to work with technical specialists to ensure that departmental business needs and requirements are met and familiarity with project management approaches and tools as well as phases of the project life cycle.

In addition, you have:

  • strong collaboration and communication skills
  • ability to communicate with varied stakeholders, both internal and external
  • proactive mindset with an innovative outlook – initiates change and develops solutions to problems
  • knowledge of system development methodology, including a commitment to the success of the testing phases and processes

Nice-to-have

  • International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation

Your education and experience
The position requires a relevant university or college degree (e.g., information technology, project management, business analysis) and five years of experience in business analysis, project management, information technology or process analysis environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Secret
  • You will work remotely from any location within Canada while the Bank operates under mandatory telework. Flexibility for remote work for the duration of the term may be granted.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $80,300 to $94,400 (job grade 16)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
