Job description: Assignment Duties:
- Work with clients to gather and document business and technical requirements
- Write RFP documents
- Project coordination
- Liaise with clients
- Write project charters
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Research technical solutions
- Write business cases
- Write test cases
- Write knowledge documents
- Provide technical training to business clients
Deliverables:
1. Facilitate, gather, and develop business requirements
2. Research IT solutions and propose solutions/alternatives
3. Write business cases for IT initiatives
4. Assist Project Managers/Project Leaders on project-related work
5. Create test plans and lead testing sessions with clients (User Acceptance Testing)
6. Produce PowerPoint presentations and Visio diagrams to document business processes
7. Produce any other documents as required for projects
Minimum 7 hrs working day (M-F); Working remotely until September; remote/in-office schedule TBD for September onwards (will need to come into office a few days/week); Minimum of 6 months commitment.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration, IT, Commerce, or a related discipline with 5+ years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- CBAP, CAPM, CCBA or other business analysis designation is preferred;
- Experience in facilitation, presentation, and documentation of technical and end-user requirements, business process specification development, report development, and development and execution of quality assurance plans, in accordance with recognized best practices (BABOK) is preferred;
- Previous experience on business process improvement projects, documented and analyzed business processes, calculated benefits for proposed change
- Ability to evaluate, recommend and/or standardize processes related to data collection, analysis, measurement, requirements gathering and IT reporting;
- Experience with re-engineering of business processes, benchmarking, and evaluation tools and strategies;
- Experienced with data preparation, conversion and migration using various tools;
- Proficient with designing, developing and testing both reports and SQL queries;
- Demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills with ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to self-manage in a timely and organized fashion and successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously;
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving ability supported by project management experience
Expected salary: $70000 – 85000 per year
