Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 per year, 3 weeks of vacation, group benefits
Great opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper with 5 years of experience in industry or public accounting.
Our client is an established public accounting firm located in the Manotick area, proud of their excellent reputation and positive work environment. Please note that you must be prepared to work in the office for 3-4 months; then flexibility for a partial remote work arrangement is offered.
Responsibilities include:
– Manage the day-to-day accounting transactions for a variety of clients
– Enter and create invoices in multiple accounting software packages, and calculate and process payroll
– Produce reports as requested by clients
– Maintain a proper filing system
– Prepare and file HST reports
– Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, banking deposits and wire transfers
– Perform account reconciliations, compare and analyze results, and assess the accuracy and reasonableness of monthly financial reports
– Perform other duties, as per client requests
Qualifications:
– At least 5 years bookkeeping experience
– College-level Accounting or Business diploma
– Knowledge of QuickBooks is required (QBO) is an asset
– Well versed using MS Office
– Highly organized with exceptional planning, prioritizing and task management skills
– Attention to detail, accuracy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently and in a team
– Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
– Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills (essential)
